just replaced my plugs and wires on my 99 3.0, now it won’t fire. all the wires are going to the corresponding cylinders and the plugs are properly gapped. all fuses are good as well
any help would be appreciated! it’s cold in this garage fast responses would be much appreciated

Sorry for the delay

Coil pack has a 4 wire connector, 12volt wire and 3 Grounds from the computer, 1 for each coil in the pack
In 1999 Fuse 25 in the cab fuse box powers the coil pack

The cylinders are numbered like this
3 6
2 5
1 4
front

But the coil pack is different
can be
1 2 3
5 6 4

5 6 4
1 2 3

3 4
2 6
1 5

1 5
2 6
3 4

1/5, 2/6, 3/4 are always paired together on the coil pack

2 and 6 are always in the center
then 1/5 and 3/4 at the ends
So you can just be 50/50 off but it should still fire

Look at the CEL(check engine light)
It should come on with key ON, that means computer is ON
When you turn the key to START and engine starts to spin, CEL should go OFF, that means the computer is getting a Timing Signal and will start spark and then injectors

This is from the Ford PC/ED manual showing 1,2,3 wires next to the input plug:
(firewall)
5 1
6 2 [] <-- input plug
4 3
(front)
69468

And the connector is not loose?

Checked for voltage?

Yup, that's the matched pairs 1/5, 2/6 and 3/4

The 1 2 3 side is usually OK, the 5 6 4 side is the one that gets mixed up

So...how cold is it in the garage now?
Oh, and what's the outcome/ Did you get her started yet?
