I have taken this part of the panel. I have a “wood” wrap I want to try on but to do it properly I should remove the air intake part. It looks complicated as it has a lot of holders/hooks and I’m a 100% newbie, not wanting to do something stupid. Any one who know how to remove them or even better, know where I can see a video about it. It was on a “remove the stereo” video I saw how to take this part off and I have bought a set...

Regards
Jacob

Sorry @RangerThailand, only a few guys here have the same truck, Remember we didn't get that truck until this year. I doubt anybody here has started taking theirs apart.

Okey, I can’t see that those who want to make the truck more “you” only does that on a older truck but if you say so. I’m going to make a video later of my customisation so far, even if it’s not these parts.

It's not that the owners of new ones don't want to, it's just that we only have a few guys so far that have the new trucks so nobody to date has posted anything like what you're looking for.

If you're willing to go down the path first, it would be great to hear what you find.

The "Hooks" as you described them should pull back from the retaining tabs, and then the collector can be worked out away from the panel.

It isn't hard, but it is delicate, and may require going around a few times before you get it. I have a similar piece from a different vehicle, I may be able to make a video, I'm not sure.

I don't know if this will be helpful or not. I couldn't get the camera in to show the details of what I was doing and still have my hands there to do it.

Yes thanks, I have also that type but they are on all 4 sides and a lot of other hooks and locking types and I can’t see the reason for them all or which I need to unhook. But thanks. You can see here what I mean...

On YouTube you search for “How to remove radio unit on 2017 Ford Ranger Wildtrak”. There you see enough for starting on your own. At least did I. I have a lot of pictures of all modifying but maybe that suits better in another thread, for all to find/view... but here are some.

I have figured out how to take all part of, except the center console around the gear changer. It’s like a 3D puzzle as you remove one part you get access to the one under and everything is rather logical. It yes, sometimes I am pretty sure I broke something but it’s just the sound from that part going off. Without these tools I could not have done it, but only need 2-3 and not 12. Any questions about this I’m glad to answer, or if not understand how to show on video. That YouTube video got me going enough...

I hade the car cleaned today and he said that my car was “ very beautiful. Nr 1 car on Koh Samui” so I guess I did something right....

Dude, I think you put your steering wheel back on the wrong side.
