Anything i should know before i do it?
Ive done r&r's on ford taurus's and other cars, so i know the basics. and from what i can tell, my ranger should be really easy.. just wondering if there is anything specific i should know about my ranger that will help me when i go to do it?
in case anyone is wondering, it was my failure to ever change my power steering fluid thats caused the rack to become loose. it still works fine, but it had been making metallic clanking noises when slowing down and even just driving... after changing the fluid finally after 195k miles, the clanking reduced significantly but that same loose feeling is still in the wheel and there is absolutely nothing else wrong with my suspension or linkage. i dont think the play is dangerous, but it sure is annoying since the rest of the truck runs/drives like new.
i basically want to know if there will be anything on the truck i will have to remove before i can take out the old rack...
