Rebuilt transmission

I got my tranny rebuilt and later that night after picking it up from he shop it wasn't shifting. Then the next day it worked perfectly fine and hasn't had a problem since then. What could've been the issue?

could be a lot of things, possibly just a bit of binding as the new parts got worn in. if it hasnt happened again i wouldnt worry about it. if it happens again i would consult with the shop. automatic or manual?
