Hi everyone,
I just rebuilt a 98 4.0 4wd ranger. Before installing I ran it through the gears on the bench and it seemed fine. Now that I installed it in the vehicle it drops out of first when there is no load, clutch disengaged (pedal pressed).
Is it possible I installed the shift sleave backwards and threw off the shift fork alignment?
