I was washing my new to me 88 Ranger tonight and noticed the rear window is leaking through the weather stripping at the slider. What’s the best source for a replacement? I’d rather not go used and inherit another leak issue.

I did one on my 88 years ago... what I remember was the replacement I bought was cheap in price and quality. I would look around... probably even better if you could actually touch it before buying. Probably worth a couple extra dollars for better one.

I am having the same issues. I am trying to find a good replacement that doesn’t cost a lot. This is the best I’ve found...

Check Steele Rubber Products. Both their regular catalog, and their new RV catalog. Many types of weatherstripping, both vehicle specific and generic.
Many RV's have windows that slide, usually from side to side (mine does) and they carry many types of weather stripping for that purpose.
Possible you can find something there that works, and costs less than $98.54 (ouch ouch ouch)

I actually live less than 5 miles from Steele Rubber. Thanks for the tip. I’ll check with them.

Yeah, I saw that price and was like no way. I’ll be looking into their products too. I didn’t realize that they had some generic products. I need to get some measurements on the old weatherstrip
