rear drum adjuster help

i need help finding the part on the top the one on the bottom is the one the part store says is gunna fit but as you can see its way too big i have a 2004 ford ranger xlt

It appears you're missing part of the top adjuster.

Have you tried installing it?

Rangers have two size rear drum brakes. Nine or ten inch. I do believe the adjusters are different.

i tried to put the one on the bottom in but its too big and pushes out the shoes and in the store the guy pulled out the 9 inch one to see and the 9 inch on is the same size as the 10 inch one

yeah there 10 inch

Well I'm not sure what to tell you.

It sure looks like the right part.

Where is the rest of the original one?

thats the hole part in the picture the one in the picture is still good my drums gave out one the left side and it grinded up the adjuster on the left side but i need that part but i cant find it anywhere

It sure doesn't look complete to me... I've seen hundreds of them.

How about pictures of the complete brakes assembly.

thats why im so lost my drums are set up the exactly same way as every other 04 ranger but my adjuster screw is different

does you Ranger have an Explorer rear axle?
because that short adjuster is an Explorer part.

im not sure i got it off a old lady and she said all the work was done at a dealer ship
