My Rear antilock light and brake light is on. On my 91 ranger and when pushing on the brakes my brakes lock up easliy. Anyone know whats causing my lights to be on or have a idea why or a place to start looking??

I am having the same issues too in my 87 bronco II.

Sounds like you are low on brake fluid. That will cause both lights to come on like that.

You need to pull the wheels and check the brakes out. The fluid will only go low when your brakes are worn out or you have a leak. I'm going to guess you have a leak from you stating the brakes lock up. Rear brakes lock up? Probably leaking wheel cylinders which have soaked the shoes on oil.

i have a 90 ranger with this exact situation, thank you for confirming what i knew i was going to have to do, you know, actually keeping the perpetual grunge under the finger nails.

Rear Antilock light

I have a 1990 Ranger with the 4.0 V6 2wd automatic and the rear antilock light came on while driving home. Ive replace the sensor but it still comes on but only after I'm going about 35mph, im just wondering would cause it to keep coming on, any info greatly appreciated.
