ok, so i have a 93 ford ranger now and due to the road consturction(sp) and idiots working them and me being late for class my rear shackle's and the things the shackles mount on to i think its a leaf bracket or something like that broke... i got them off and now i cant get the ****ing bushing to go back in there.... im getting really ****ing pissed off and i had to walk away from it for a bit and have a cigar and my buddy some how got it almost all the way in there but its stuck now with about a half inch to go before its good... the other side is seized up and i cant get it out, i out a 2 foot breaker bar on it and it wouldnt move... i landed flat on my ass from pulling soo hard.

i just came in form working on the thing and i havnt been this pissed off ever... i have 3 burns on my hand 2 on my arms and my whole inside of the elbo is burt...

so some one please help me before i beat this thing in!

that sucks. my advice put some heat to them and some PB blaster. or if there all rusted to hell and ur gona replace the whole thing then torch them out and buy new brackets and shackles. do it right the first time and believe me you will be glad when ur out on the trail later.

i just did a soa conversian on my explorer, i dont know what you are having a hard time with but here is what you do, buy or build new hangers, grind or torch the old ones off, fasten with grade 8 hardware, buy new shackles, buy urathane spring eye bushings, drill out the old bushings, clean up the inside of the spring eye with a wire wheel on a drill and the bushings with go right in, a light coating of wd40 on the inside of the spring eye helps too..hope this helps, just replace all the bolts with new stuff to make it easy...screw trying to reuse old shit...

so i finally got them in... i've been drivin it for 2 weeks now but... i had it at a buddys and he gets pissed really easy and he just was messin shit up.. so i took it home and barrowed some shit from another friend and did it my self... i gotta say it wasnt that hard when it was going smooth but it was a BITC H 90% of the time! but i got a good deal on my shackles and spring mounts... oh well... thanks for the tips guys!
