Hey Guys

Just about to install the ready lift kit and a set of beltech shackles and was curious if anyone has any tips for the install? I have the unloading tool and its seems pretty straight forward from the instructions but we all know this is never the case.

I also have a set of tires on order, will it make a difference if i get the lift on and the truck alligned with the old tires or should i wait and do the allignment when the new tires are mounted?

Thanks,

-R

I don't know about the lift but you should be able to get it aligned with the old tires. and alignment is an alignment unless the old tires are worn funny then it might throw the alignment off.

naw old tyres are pretty mint i think less than 3000km on factory tyres

wait for the new tires. the differences in size and weight of the two tires can throw the alignment off

huh??? tires are unsprung weight so they have no affect to the weight above the axles, tires themselves have no way of throwing off the alignment, changing wheels to something with less back spacing pushing the tires out on the other hand...

align it whenever...

tips on the lift kit... spray down the stock bolts/nuts w/ pb blaster daily for a few days before get ready to do the lift. make your garage reek of pb...

All as stated above! Soak those bolts!

It's been said many times that the ready lift kit is a waste of money. And I do agree it is.

Personally I would try maxing out your stock torsion bar bolts, and put in a set of shock spacers first to see if you get your desired lift height.

If you get the lift you want, return the keys and tool and put the money towards new tires!
