I've been making/thinking about making some minor changes to my truck cosmetically lately. I have a red base XL model, with the rinky-dink mirrors, solid rear window, gray plastic grille, and gray bumpers. I've been thinking about finding an Edge trim front bumper and installing that, but I want to make sure that I won't need fender flares if I do.
I put 8" wide wheels on for the summer, somehow I spaced and got the stock diameter but totally forgot to check the stock width-they're 6" stock. So I could technically use fender flares anyway, but I kind of like the look of the wheels sticking out, and in the winter with snow tread and steelies on, it will look a little odd.
So, question of the day is: would I need fender flares if I were to install an Edge trim level front bumper on my 2001 XL?
