Ranger won't stay running

I just had fuel pump replaced. It starts then immediately dies. What would cause this ??

It could be many things.

But I would start with the fuel system.

Just cause it's new... doesn't mean it's working properly.

How was that diagnosed?

Yes, 3rd party fuel pumps can be unreliable, sometimes you need to replace them a few times to get one that will last out the warranty
The Motorcraft pumps are Stupid Expensive, but they last, 20+ years

They sprayed starting fluid in it. It would run for a minute then die. Still doing same thing with new fuel pump

Could be the relay...or tripped inertia switch.

It's at a garage. Hopefully they will figure it out soon. I'm tired of being without a ride

If you;re going to drive a used vehicle, and Everybody drives a used vehicle, your first stop should always be at the auto parts counter for a repair manual specific to that vehicle
I think at least 90% of all repairs are one stop for parts, and can be done in under a day.
If you plan to farm it out you better have some deep pockets and thrive on BS :/
