Ranger even beat out the Honda Ridgeline. Honda is very hard to beat, but I don't consider the Ridgeline a true pickup anyway. I guess the same can be said about the Maverick. I know the Tacoma has been falling in durability ratings. It seem Toyota is kind of going away from using tried and true technology on the Tacoma to have it keep up with all the new technology coming out.

That is good news for the Ranger, but a lot of it is tried a true from the T6. Now, if they can just get the transmission right.

Honda and Toyota aren’t what they used to be. Generally still a good buy, depending in the product, but they aren’t the bulletproof designs they used to be.

The tried and true approach with Ford has been a mixed bag. I think it’s because the parts were already on the shelf rather than that part has been really reliable, let’s use that.

Gotta have parts fail if you expect to sell replacements. Make a car too reliable and its longer before it needs replaced. When the ridgeline first came out I think you could get two rangers for the cost of one ridgeline. I know Id rather have a ranger (or two)

It was the most Americans-eez with parts content for a minute.

One platform. With two different body offerings on that single platform...single engine and trans combo.....

They better be top 3.
