I’ve come across this guy selling these lowering beams. He claims they’re for a ranger but I can’t find any products that are similar to compare and make sure they are for an 88. Has anybody seen these before, and are they for a ranger or are they for a different truck entirely?

They definitely are not DJM dream beams, those are easy to ID by their round tube construction, but DJM wasn't the only company making them back in the day. They don;t look like the old Chassis tech beams either, those had a fabricated I-beam shape IIRC.

There are only two lines of trucks that ever used the TIB style suspension AND would have gotten drop beams made for them. That would be the F-series trucks from the 60 to the mid 90s (maybe e-series by extension) and the Ranger based vehicles (RBVs). If it were F-series it would have to be 82-86 because they used king pins before then, and had the ball joint in the knuckle after, but they don't look long enough to be F-series.

Seems to me like Ranger beams are the only thing that they could be. If that is correct they have to be 83-88 trucks. In 89 they relocated the balljoints to mount in the steering knuckle like on the full sized trucks. You could install 89+ beams into a 83-88 truck, but you would also need to swap in the steering knuckle and attached components to go with.

Depending on the price it may be worth the purchase just for the rear drop components and caltracks. That is assuming that they are in fact RBV components.

Out of curiosity, did the seller provide a shot of the other side of the beams?

Unfortunately no. I asked for more pictures and in waiting right now. Here’s another picture, but I think they’re the same sides just slightly different angle

They definitely look like ranger beams, I believe f150 beams aren't equal length..

Belltech and and Airbagit also made beams like this

Belltech was the drop beam maker I couldn't remember, haven't seen them in a LONG time. Not positive, but I think that may be what is pictured.

Chassis Tech and AirBagIt are same company, and I'm sure their beams have always been a fabricated I-beam style.

AIM may be yet another, but pretty sure they were rolled in with the Chassis Tech and AirBagIt. Not sure if they always were, or it that was a later buyout.

The SUPER early DJMs were also fabricated I-beams. I had a set for an explorer
