Anyone have suggestions on building a cheap ramp to get up on a curb. Basically, I am going to be getting some dirt to hill up the side of my house to redirect drainage. I want to get the truck up in the yard and as close to the drop spot. I need a quick and easy way to get the truck and a bed full of dirt up on the curb. My ideas were to either build something with some leftover wood I have or find some of those car ramps used for maintenance work and cut a few inches off to make it level with the curb. Thoughts?

Just stack some thick wood..that's the cheapest method to getting up on to the curb.

umm......this is just a normal curb right? 6 to 8" high........shift into 4hi and go? thats what I do when I park my explorer in the front yard.....

i use 2x4's or 2x6's stacked in a half pyramid, it forms a good sturdy ramp

just go at an angle hell i do all the time on shit like a foot high yo be fine

now keep in mind this can be very hard on the steering and suspension for a stock tire size. its easily do-able, but its much nicer to the truck to make a little 15 second ramp

Get you some 2x4's, 2x6's, and 2x8's, stack them accordingly, you'll be good to go:icon_thumby:

i hit one head on at like 15 or 20 once ( snowy corner). dident even blow a tire, dented my rim though nothin a bfh couldent handle

I am backing up on to the curb with a bed full of dirt. Figure it would be better to use a ramp of sorts

That's what I had planned on doing with some left over wood. Just wanted to see if anyone had a better idea.

Thnx
