how in the hell do u get the rack out. i have everything unhooked but there is like know were for it to exit from. to i have to disconnect the arms. or what? thanks

i don't know if your still loking but aparrently the rack comes out the side on 4x4 models. You need to take off a whole whack of parts to pull it out the wheel well. That's why Ford quotes 3.5 hours to do it.

I know this is an old post, but for future reference, it comes out the front. I just pulled mine out yesterday. There is a couple of hard lines you have to push up out of the way of the lower steering stem mount that will allow you to rotate the entire rack assembly forward 90 degrees. With the large, rack mounting holes now horizontal, you can slide the rack to the passenger side until the driver's side will clear the opening. I scratched my head for awhile on this one too.
