R/F Drive Axle contact with spindle tube

Problem occurs in "LOCKED" hub, in or out of 4WD. Have incurred axle scoring across splines approx. .14" behind "C" clip relief channel. Axle is essentially unsupported correct [albeit held by hub]? Is this just a "fact-o-life" @ 450K+? Any known part fix {i.e. custom axle sleeve, special shim combinations, etc,etc.}? Hope somebody's got a solution 'cause I'm stuck.

There is a bearing in the spindle that supports the axle. Alot of people don't know about it and so it doesn't get changed. As far as the scoring I have no idea, perhaps another member can help.
