It's a purple 1994 regular cab, V6, 5 speed, electric 4x4. It has aftermarket lockouts installed, he said they are a popular name brand but he's not sure which one he'd have to go look. The engine has just over 100,000 miles on it and the rest of the truck is at 167000. He says it runs great, and the body's good. From the pics it could use a bath but I don't see too much rust. Needs tires and front shocks. He's looking to get 1200, how much would you say a truck like that would be worth? I don't want to pay too much, since I'm using my money from selling my Mazda and a little bit of my savings to buy it. Once the sale is finalized on the Mazda I'm planning on going to look at it.

I was thinking about offering 900 and working from there. Worst I can get is a no. I honestly don't want to pay more than 1000 for it, if he won't go that low I may walk. I'd like a supercab better anyway but it's hard to find a 4x4 Ranger around here in good condition for less than 2000.

By the way, if anyone has a 1993-1995 Ford Ranger near me for sale, 4x4 Supercab, V6, Auto for sale for less than 1500 let me know. I'd like a manual t-case but I know that's hard to find. I may go to 2000 for a lower mileage truck or a really nice one. If it needs a little work (like shocks, springs, radiator, or something) let me know and we'll see if I'll bite.

1200 wouldn't be bad if everything was fine... but if you want a supercab you might wanna hold out until you find one..

I'd honestly go for if it's as good as it sounds, you could always swap in a manual t-case, hubs are already done. I'd hit it. Just think you could name it Lelo...

Hey you never know, I still have that bud deflector that gave stitch it's name. I'd just have to install a ton of those rubber bumps so the paint wont wear off like on the last truck.

I just looked up how hard it was to do a Manual Tcase swap, and I am no longer looking for a manual case. Assuming I am correct that it bolts right on in the auto's place and all I'd have to do is cut a hole in my floor for the shifter? I even know where I can get a bunch of the blank replacement panels for the pushbuttons.

Yea I belive thats how it's done, my buddy is doing that exact swap right now except with the 1350 he had to change the front driveshaft too. the electric shift had a slip yoke the manual don't. I don't know if the 1354 is the same way.

i wish i could just find a 1354m period...

Anyone know if I would be able to put a 1350 in place of my 1354 if I can't find a manual 1354? From what I can tell they have all the same stats.. I'm new to the 4x4 world though, my last truck was a 2wd and I never really worked on my Mazda since I only drove it two weeks.

On my '90, it originally came with a 1354 electric shift. I found a 1354m from another '90 (I think) and it was a bolt on swap, driveshafts all worked perfectly, just had to cut a hole in the floor. Make sure you get the linkage and shift handle with it, it will bolt to the tailhousing of the tranny and you'll be all set.

get it.
dont be cheap.
a reg cab short wheel base is better for off roading

Bed of the truck is usually full of supplies. Interior I use for expensive and breakable items that I don't want with the other gear. This year hopefully I'll have a little more room, as all the firewood will be on a trailer with two kayaks. When I go camping, I'm usually gone for a week or more.

On quick trips I don't even bring a tent, I use the truck bed. Can't put stuff in there unless I wanna sleep with it on those kind of trips.
