Hi All,
I received a small lift system, (QuickJack 7000SLX), and looks like I need the extension kit for this 99 4x4. The extensions give a total reach of 66", (that's outer dimensions so not sure what the actual measurements are center-to-center). I have an old Ford Training DVD and looked up the hoist locations for a 99 4x4:

I know this is a dumb question, but is the rear location located just under the back of the cabin/ body mount, (this is a 99 2-door, extended cab)? In the image, it looks like it's pointing behind the gas tank or something. But I don't see anything there. I took a couple shots of what I think it's referring to and that should be within the 66" range, but just wanted to be sure since - at first glance - it doesn't look like the hoist adapters are parallel from the ground (height-wise). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Don't trust those front loops. They are indeed intended to be lift/jacking points but they aren't very strong before they get rusty. I've seen more than one get bent up with a floor jack trying to do a tire change or brake service. I would use the frame instead. I'm not exactly sure what they are pointing at in the back either. Again. I would use the frame.

It's been awhile... but I think I used a block of wood (4x4) under the front leaf spring eyes in the rear.

Thanks for the quick reply Sgt! It's hard to tell from the pics, but I did see that the front looks like it's bent a little already, (the loop portion). And i'd be totally onboard with just the frame, but considering how it begins to rise in the back as it approaches the bed, would that still dictate my lift reach/access to that meaty section from the front torsion bar plate to around the rear cabin mounts? Even if I don't use the hoist adapters and instead go with the frame, I just want to be sure I'm lifting at the correct area for safety and balance.

I've always used the flat spots of the frame but I've never had the bed off like it appears you do. If balance seems to be an issue, You might want to throw something on the back frame as a counter balance. My guess, if there is going to be a problem, is that the truck is going to want to tip forward due to the weight of the engine.
