question about trip odometer

how many miles the trip odometer can register?? i know it has 4 digits, but dunno if i can use it to register the 2500k miles to every oil change or it just limits at1k miles

Just the 1k, I reset it everytime I fill up so I know how many clicks to a tank I get. For oil changes I write the mileage for when I have to change it on a sticky note, and stick it on the inside top left corner of the windshield.

ohh thanks, well i write it too, i was guessing if it would work for that.
the place i take it to always gives me some little stickers with the mileage for next service, oil type, brand and filter type

I just kind of do it every other month whenever I get around to it. I put on about 1k per two weeks..

ohh i do want to buy some real tools for doing it myself, but i wont save that much,
practically 10$ if i buy the oil and filter and do it myself, besides i get free ball joint lubbing

Tools? All you really need is an old jug, and an adjustable wrench or random pliers.

$10 ? Hell I'm lucky to do it myself for $30.
