Good luck getting lug studs that are long enough that also have the right spline pitch to fit Ranger hubs.. I tried. Could only get them about 1/8" longer. ARP makes them in the length I needed but they're nearly $100 for 5 of them. INSANE.

At least for my 1st gen....

I believe those wheels may need special lug nuts anyway. The lug nuts will have a smooth shank that slides through the hole in the wheel. I could be wrong but there were several styles of drag racing wheels like those that require the use of that style of lug nut.

Yup those are definitely lug centric made for the goofy long shank nuts.

On the mag wheel type lugs... the threads of the nut are well below the face of the wheel. So... maybe your wheel studs aren't short after all. There is a fine line with stud length... to long and the stud will bottom out in the nut.

Update on tires, since these tires where not DOT rated they wouldn't pass through inspection here in Pa. so I've been on the look out for some tires and found a set on Facebook market Place. Picked them up the other day just have to get them mounted and balanced. These should really look good.

Ooh. I don't think I would take that out in the snow. Not with those tires.

a few years ago, I found an article online that had actual funny car dragsters driving on snow and ice... and damn those drivers made it look easy, drag slicks and all.
