Project cars.

im 19, i am thinking of taking over were my dad kinda stopped (he saids he is in a thinking stage) on a 1967 Shelby Cobra 427 replica, with a 302 (i forget what its bored over).

i have a son due to be born in the latter portion of may, and the first thing to do is convinve the wife that we need a 5th vehicle at the house to fix up for the boy. between my 88 and 99 ranger, the heep Liberty and the vw beetle, she says no more till we get rid of something

frankly she doesnt know me that welll....i want to keep them all, minus the heep and vw wich will be traded in for more fords!

my first project car when i was 17 is my 69 mustang convertible then i got the ranger and once those 2 are ok-ish i am building a miata with a 13b-rew in it :D

My first poject vehicle was an '87 K5 Chevy Blazer. The engine has spun a bearing.

Sadly, the cancer (rust) was too bad to transplant a new engine (my senior project in HS) into.

If I had the cash, (and you might think I'm nuts for thinking about this) is taking an early 90's GM "Dusterbuster" minivan (Lumina APV, Pontiac Transsport & Olds Silouette) and dropping a 300 HP Caddy Northstar drivetrain in. It'd be a van that could haul 7 people AND hall butt at the same time!

I hope to get back to my 80 amc spirit which I dropped a 360 into a year or so ago. This year, I'm thinking about putting my 401 into it. When that car is done and on the road, I have a 38 and a 40 chevy pickup cabs that I want to join together and build a rat rod. It will have whatever is not in the spirit. This will happen if I do not sell the cabs. And when that is done, I have a 40 nash lafayette that has a 304 sitting in it. So I have enough projects to keep me going for a very long time since I don't have the funds for any of it.

I only have 3 vehicles on my list that I don't have. I have the ranger, love it, never gonna get rid of it.

I want a matching B2. I want a 69 fastback 'stang, for obvious reasons, and I want a 4.9 super cab 150, or a 4.9 early 80s Bronc. Neither of the FS trucks would be real projects, they'd be more for towing/camping.

"I want a 69 fastback 'stang, for obvious reasons" <<< class act!! I lost one in divorce in 1991 ARRRG it was mach1 too

thanks Angie, I'm already a member on that Pinto forum, under the same name as here and I'm that one ranger guy...

Ouch, no that is just spiteful.

Only project I will be working on for a while (aside from the BII) is a 1976 Fiat 131 Abarth with a Ford 2.3T

Parts are unbelievably tough to find...

Something along the lines of this..I have the car, body kit and motor. Everything else is waiting for available funds/time

Project cars.

:icon_hornsup: Heck ya man! I like that!

I love any of these smaller rally looking cars. I love those colors as well.

I want to find a non-running 1998 or newer 2WD Ranger to build a lowered V-8 street truck.

When my dad retires, he's gonna start to restore his 1965 Comet Cyclone that he got in highschool. He sold it to his sister after he graduated, but she still has it in her yard, so that's gonna be a blast :icon_welder:

It's not a car, but my dad's old Harley that I bought from him just needs to be rewired, and a fresh coat of paint, and it'll be going. :headbang: I can't wait!!!
