I recently bought a Paxton supercharger for my 92 ranger and I need to get it ready for it. My main question is what should I be running for spark plugs? Should I get a step colder plug or maybe run some e3 spark plugs? I will put new plugs and wires on it even though I did it a couple of years ago but need some better wires. Plus I have a vacuum leak that I’m pretty sure I need to fix before I boost it. Also wanna get a 5.0 maf for it and I need to get a boost gauge and wideband air fuel gauge. It has a fmu but eventually will do away with that and get a bigger fuel pump, injectors, bbk throttle body and adjustable fpr. And then will have to figure out a tune either find somebody that can chip my ecm or go mega squirt not sure if I have the brains for that though. cross that bridge when I get there. Also wanna get a better coil pack and maybe a msd box.

It might take a couple times, but I'd start off with a new stock set, and read the plugs and AF gauge and tune accordingly. I'd grab a set of 24lb injectors and MAF sized for them before you boost over 5-7 psi...How much you plan on boosting, as your internals (if stock) will not handle much over 9 psi intercooled....

I'd go with bigger injectors, 6 24lb injectors are only good for approximately 192hp at 80% duty cycle. 30lb injectors will do 240hp and 39lb injectors will support over 300.

I didn't suggest anything over 30 lb injectors cause he'd have to get stronger internals, but as Hahns said using the figures he provided :icon_thumby:

right now the its set up for 4-6 psi i was told. not sure if i will boost more then that i guess i will have to see what the power is like when i get it installed and running. thanks for the input on the 24lb injectors that what i was planning on getting and then i was gonna get a stock 5.0 maf at the jy unless i need an aftermarker one? the motor is stock and the only thing i plan to do to it is a comp cam. unless someday i blow the motor up then i will build one for it. but i dont plan on it the truck rarely gets driven far from home so i'm not worried about racking up miles on it. just getting this thing ready for boost is alot more work then i thought. those wideband gauges are not cheap and neither are the injectors. would i need a bigger fuel pump with those 24lb injectors?

Not required, but a good idea. IIRC, you can use a 255lph pump from a mustang, which are readily available and should be able to find one at a good price from the mustang crowd...

ok i plan on leaving the plugs in it for now there stock plugs and probably have less then 500 miles on them. but i gotta replace the intake gasket and i figured i will throw some 24lb injectors while i'm at it. now i can use any bosch amp style plug for the injectors right? i found some cheap ones on ebay i might buy if i know for sure then will work. now with them i would def need a afpr right? this probably wont be all installed at once just trying to get all the little thing done before putting on the supercharger.

i was gonna get a stock 5.0 maf at the jy unless i need an aftermarker one?

Go with the aftermarket if you need to change it at all, I have a MAF out of a '93 5.0 Stang that I kept off one that I scrapped, it is accually more restrictive then the one on my 4.0.
