so i've been wanting a powered sub in my 89 for a long time. mostly the infinity bass link. bad a.. but i just ended up buying a little 100 dollar 400w from wallmart. its a VB..? anyways. i need to just see if i've got the instal right in my head before i touch it. (first real small project besides replacing stock speakers.)

1. i go from the battery to the amp: so this wire.. can i just feed it through the fire wall and under the floor board or whatever?

2. from the amp i go into the back of my deck.

3. and what else? lol :icon_confused:

and for the mounting im just taking out all the stock mounting and stickin the sub back there. i also have 2 kickers in some boxes that will sit next to the sub. any suggestions on that or just let it sit?

you guys are awesome thanks

you need a hot wire and ground hooked to amp .. and REM wire that turns the amp on with the switch most people use the electric ant wire on back of the head unit .. then you rca cables from the line out on the head unit to the amp..

well most amp wiring kits have the inline fuse already on it

They should. It might be different styles or sizes depending on gage of wire used.

Sorry to thread jack, but i put my signal wire on the elec. ant wire and it will power my amp up then it shuts down. any reason why?

Lol I did that in my girls jeep, when you turn off FM it turns off the line to lower the ant. You should have a second blue wire for amp turn on.
