My pwr window is stuck down in my 1994 Ranger.

The first time this happened, (spring 2008) it was stuck down. I left it alone for an hour or so, then I hit the button again and it went back up. Then about 3 months later, the same thing happened except it was halfway down, it eventually went back up. Winter went by and so did spring w/ no problems, and sure enough last week it got stuck down again. I don't know if it matters but it was EXTREMELY hot that day. I left it alone for a few hours and then it went back up again. I took the door panel off and greased the hell out of the track and every moving part of the system.

Last night it started to rain, so I ran to my truck and hit the switch to put the windows up........nothing. The passenger side went up fine but the drivers side didn't. I moved my truck into the garage.

I took the door panel off and looked inside and tried to pull the window up while pushing the switch. Didn't work. I can feel the motor "click" and "tense up" when I hit the switch but it won't go up. I am tired of this problem...I am almost to the point of taking it to a mechanic to see what they think :(
Any suggestions?

I think it's worth the couple of bucks to try cleaning the switch with a spray can of electrical contact cleaner. Sounds like it's either the switch or the motor.
