There are other posts regarding this problem including a nice write up.
Thanks to these post I repaired my 1990 Ranger.
The Help #74410 states for "various Ford models 2003-1965".
The window regulator gear plugs are nylon and measure 1/2" diameter by 7/16" length.
In short, these plugs break down into small chunks leaving the motor still working but unable to move the glass.
Hope this helps.

I havent really found aything that shows me a pic of how to remove the motor. I have these pieces but cant get to the bolt on the motor for my 89 B2. Can you direct me to any of these posts?

I just drilled holes through the door to access the bolts for the motor. It will be covered with a door panel anyways. Thanks for the part number on the rebuild kit.

i just did this mod but i actually drilled three holes in the plastic gears and put screws through with nuts on the inside and ground the screw heads down a little, worked like a charm.

My '90 Ranger has Bosch motors still goin strong & they're different than the others with the bolts for the gear assembly.
It has a bunch of friction fit pins ?
