I would like to know if there any Kits out there to use a
Sport Trac or a 1987 Ford Ranger Bigfoot Cruiser Edition
Power Rear Window into a 1995 Ranger.. I would rather
have it go down instead of to the Side..

Thank You,
Mike Tech

the bigfoot cruiser edition(never heard of it) the rear window will work in the 95,

as long as the the 87 is regular cab, and the 95 is regular cab it will bolt in
as long as the the 87 is extended cab, and the 95 is extended cab it will bolt in
but regular cab to extended cab is a no go,

Really? I measured a 1988 window to see if I could put it in my 1993 once, it was a completely different size and shape.

about this bigfoot cruiser edition got any pics i have never heard of it

I've thought of buying a broke sport trac window, building a new frame, and using just the slider frame and motor, and having the stock 98+ rear solid window cut for me and making a vertical motorized slider work for me. Just gotta spend money and alot of time to do it. Would be freakin' sweet when done.

I have been wantign to do this for a while but Have not had the time or money to go through with it.

The Limited (aftermarket) edition known as the "bigfoot cruiser"
was a 1st generation ranger supercab that had a vertical slider window

the frame assembly takes up some interior ( about 2.5") volume and the window is
moved inwards some, so it's kinda "tunneled" into the cab ala
a '67 Chevelle (but not quite as deeply)

I have one of those window assemblies I'm putting into my new cab
(Yeah, I have a spare cab for my truck) but it requires some "repairs"

the vertical window is a single powered glass panel that
is moved via a "drive tape", often these tapes break, but
this isn't the issue with this assembly, the window engages the tape
via a pair of rubber blocks with "Fingers" that engage slots in the tape
and the rubber fingers both deteriorate and the blocks unglue themselves
from the glass.

I've given some serious thought to creating my own drive mechanism
And have a couple different ideas.
