Possible High Rider in Sacramento?

I dont know, but its a damn cool truck

The easiest way to see if it's a hi-rider is to look for the factory riveted in lift block on the radius arm crossmember. It adds about an inch and a quarter between the frame and the crossmember.

I would snatch that truck up. It's pretty rare to find one with the factory brush guard and roll bar. Heck, it still has its STX stripes.

that is a nice looking truck. what does the "non op" does not require fees? is that California's way of saying that it is not road legal?

Looks like a local dog has christened the front tire lol

Being an '87-'89 4wd regular cab STX you can pretty much guarantee it being High Rider.

Yeah, the last truck I found similar to this one was over a year ago. And those 4 lights if they are OEM that is a huge plus.

In California non op is a vehicle that has been taken off the road for various reasons by the owner. Telling the dmv that your vehicle will not be registered for the length of time this vehicle is off the road. When the time comes to register it again you only pay the current fees. Not all the years of back fees it was not registered.

Example, I recently heard an old friend of mine is out of the area for awhile. Myself and his family are going to clean his property. There sits his 1999 Ford contour svt, 1985 Ford F-150 5.0 both vehicles have sat since 2012. We plan to get these two Fords going again. When they are completed and road worthy the registration will only be the current dmv fees. Both were put into non op back in 2012. No back fees to pay.

Whoever buys this stx Ranger will owe no back fees on tags.
Ahhh makes sense. Thanks for the explanation
