what wires are yall running with torque monster headers? im on 2nd set. the last set was livewire/davis unified ignition with 1200 degree rating. they lasted less time than a cheap parts store set. boot contacting the header is nearly unavoidable

I cant say about wires, but on my race truck I bought some kevlar (I think) socks to put over the boots. They are about 8" long and cured my problem of burnt boots and wires.

ordered some accel 9056C wires. ceramic boots, for a fox stang. take a week to get here. ill keep yall updated

I've been running stock motorcraft on mine with the fiberglass socks to protect them. Roughly a year and 10k - ish miles so far.

No luck like that, also I have distributor not coils.

ok still fighting this gremlin. the accel ceramic wires were a waste of money. anyone can chime in here? ive tried different "socks", wires, plug boot angles, changed routing. all have the same result, burning rear cylinder on driver's side

Not really sure what to suggest. I have coil packs and just bought Duralast stock wires from Autozone and some super high temp 8” boots. The wires I got were way long (every wire was 6-12” longer than the wires that came off) so I split loomed each wire and had to get creative keeping them out of the way (accidentally wasn’t paying attention to the fact that I hadn’t secured them and started the truck and quickly melted a split loom, oops).
