Good morning,
I've had several opportunities to go into my engine deep enough to have to remove the lower intake manifold. Each time I followed the Chilton book for restoring it, and each time I've found a steady loss of oil without any puddles, but white exhaust, which seems pretty strong evidence that my gasket is not sealing there. The final tightening sequence in Chilton calls for 12 ft-lb (actually 144 in-lb, but you know, math) which seems really not tight at all.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
