Looking for the lower tractor beam to radius arm bolt for my 96 ranger - I took the frame apart & all suspension components to get it treated, & had to cut the bolt. Let I learned it was discontinued.

Part# is 58740-S - below is the part displayed in a diagram I found on this forum. I'm willing to make it worth your while as the project is being held up by this part.

I’m sure I have a couple sets of those but I don’t recall them being a special design. I would think you could substitute a bolt of proper size and grade.

Nice looking rig man, welcome to TRS.
I would have concerns about it being an original also, they don't make much of anything like they used to
Do you have bolt and thread specifics on it, maybe a close cousin would be better than a farm store trinket
Have you searched pik a part places?

There are a few junkyards here that have them, the challenge is getting the bolt out.... I had a 3' breaker bar with a 3' pipe on that bolt & it wouldn't budge. I measured the top bolt - the one the spring perch sits on & its a 3/4 - 10 bolt. It looks to be the same thread pitch & diameter as the bottom but I can't be sure as the bottom still needs to be drilled out.

It looks like I just have to get a 2" bolt of that thread size & a tap to match to make it work.

Thanks for the advise - we'll see how it goes

Those bolts have locktight on from factory. Heat is your friend.
Yes. Those bolts hold tighter than (dang it. All my analogies come up offensive or political or politically offensive). Anyway. They're big and have lots of Loc-tite. Heat and the cheater pipe on the breaker bar are your friends.

Cant you go to a bolt store and match something up? its not like the top one right? Its just a bolt with a nut on it right? cant you go to Fasteners or order from Mcmaster-carr online? I'm trying to remember if there was anything special about it and I cant seem to remember so my bad if I'm wrong.

Grade 8 bolt. Size; “big”

Would you mind selling me a set? Thanks
No I won’t sell them but if you send me an address I’ll send them to you.
Too bad your so far away, I’d sell you both of these beams and save you a tap and die nightmare on yours.
Edit: FYI the bolts are the same size as the uppers if we are dealing with a Dana 28
