Paint Code Help

So I read the article on here about decoding the panel/sticker on the door. I am trying to find my true paint color for my Ranger. Does anyone know where I can find the actual color? The code in the article that I read is 2H/Dark Canyon Red. I have searched every paint book I can find and have come up with nothing called Dark Canyon Red. Please Help!!

Well according to this chart the 89 Ford 2H paint code is called "Medium Cabernet" and not Dark Canyon Red. This could be the reason you are having issues, the color name is wrong?

Thank you for that. It is still the medium cabernet but with a lot of peeling clear coat and a primer roof. Soon it will be Smoke in color with a Medium Cabernet wide strip on the sides.
