p0500 speed sensor?

Hey guys, my truck is throwing a p0500 for a speed sensor. My question is this. the truck used to be an auto. it now as a tremec 5 speed in it. The computer has a tune in it so it reads as it is a manual. Is the speed sensor set up any different on a 5 speed truck than an auto that would cause the code to throw, or is it most likely just the sensor?
