own a 92? always breaking door cables? click here

on my 92 ive already snapped 2 door latch cables this winter, ford doesnt make them anymore, and the wreckers were all cleaned out because everyone else breaks them too. im still choked at ford for making a cable that breaks all the time and not selling a replacement, anyways I took a pushrod latch, rod and handle from an 89 and it works fine. most people already know that but if your having the same nightmare I was constantly searching for cables and opening your door from the outside like a crackhead, its an easy permanent fix

i haven't had this happen yet (and never will because I'm putting doors off of an '86 on my truck), but my friend had it happen to him, and what he did was just get some shifter cables for a bicycle from wally-world and made them fit.

I found this post too late. I just replaced my cable today. Oh, well. Something to keep in mind. Thanks!
