Overdrive light blinking? Check engine light on...

Haven't had a chance to plug it into a computer yet...

But was wondering if anyone has had this experience..

About a week ago the over drive light started blinking on a two hour drive (1 hour there one hour back) and now it's been doing this ever since off and on...usually when i'm going high speed (40+) or after I drive it for 20 min at city speeds. Also not sure if it's wire related or this blinking light related because I have been messing with some of the radio wires on the truck, the engine light has come on. No blown fuses currently, and all the electricals are working...So if it is related to the blinking overdrive light, what would that mean? Also might be imagination but I feel like it starts to shift crappy when that starts blinking...tranny fluid looks good..and has enough of it. =/

Just thought i'd ask before I get a chance to hook it to comp..

The only way to know is to get it scanned unfortunately.

maybe my brother has a scanner i can burrow...he used to have bII- wouldn't the computer be pretty similar? It was around 10 years older though =/

Hmm..maybe i can find a friend who has a computer


or where is a good place that will scan it for me but wont charge me?

You need an OBDII scan tool for your anything built after 1996. If you have an autozone nearby they should be able to read it for you.
