As a newbie with older Rangers I'm wondering about my options for lowering the truck. I see that there are control arms for $500 that give you about 5" in the front, a bit pricey. The rear seems to be eaiser. Anyone out there with some experience on what can be done? Thanks!

This site has Vendors that sell different kits for lowering older Rangers....the '88 Rangers take a different kit than the '89....

I bought adjustable 4 degree caster/camber bushings and 3" drop beams (I didn't want the super-low look since I would be using the '89 Ranger often & Loo-z-anna roads have enough potholes)

It took me about 8 hours including aligning the front end myself (but I soaked EVERYTHING every afternoon for a week with WD40 & anything else that would loosen rust/grime from all the nuts & bolts).

Lower the front & get it exactly how you want it/drive it/then lower the rear to match.

Check out my build thread--I had to add a chapter-index so I could find stuff my-own-self :icon_rofl:
