My 1992 4.0 V6/auto extended cab Ranger was running perfectly except for the occasional bouncing of the volt meter when idling. I was going to get around to testing the alternator but never got a chance. Today it cranks but won't start.
It sounds like the fuel pump clicks when the ignition key is on but I don't hear it running for a few seconds like it always does. Any way to test for power at the fuel pump without removing the bed to get to the connector? I suppose I could depress the Schrader to see if there is any pressure in the fuel rail.
