I just survived the on slaught of another tornado and hail stones the size of baseball and softballs. My Ranger is very damn lucky not to have a window busted. Almost every vehicle on the street got a broken window. Now I got call my insurance company to start a claims report on more hail dents on the Ranger.

The video is not great, but it gives an idea of the hail hits. I will try to pull video from the security cameras for the complete hail stone video.

Edit: More photos of the carnage.

I wouldn't wish that crap on anybody...

My '85 was totalled in '01 thanks to softball sized hail. I had to fudge on some dents to come up with a max of 12 on the hood, none anywhere else, and a pinky sized hole in one tail light. Due to its age I think it was totalled before the inspector got there. A guy parked behind me had the plastic window ripped out of his foxbody convertable.

We were in a "portable classroom" at the time, and it sounded TERRIBLE.

Ouch!!!!
I've seen hail here in NH, but it's only been pea-sized.

Those look to be golf-ball size and weigh abot a pound each, right?

On the bright side, if you're a body guy or an auto glass installer, you're gonna be busy for a few months.

Damn. All of it missed us here in Tulsa. Some of it went north and some went south so we just got hit with heavy rain.

Damn. The weather every where is being crappy these last couple of weeks. We were supposed to get snow here in WI last week. :icon_surprised: Not only that, it's been raining for the last 2 weeks.

do you all out that way have to carry special insurance on everything because of the tornadoes?

Holy ice balls batman thats sum big hail... looks like it would kill you if you were out there. Glad to see your house is still up

You mean kind of like flood insurance but only for tornadoes?

Not really. I have liablitiy on the Ranger but with comprehensive coverage too. So it pays for all damages (weather, fire, theft, etc.) to the vehicle except in an accident thats my fault.

I forgot the extact total of tornados that we had. But at the time, I only cared for only 4 of them that were coming our way. Luckly, 2 of them disappered and the other two split (one went west and the other went east of out house).
