I'm putting the '93 OHV 4.0L back together and i found that the timing chain guide has an oiling hole in it that is fed from the oil galley on the block. The hole is very small, so small that I would think it could easily become plugged. Would there be any ill effect in opening the hole up with a drill to say 1/16" of an inch.

Well, I called Cloys Gear and Products and asked them about it. They said it's basically a weep hole to allow any air to be purged out of the system in addition to oiling the timing chain. I'm going to open it up 3/64 to help with oiling because I know it was clogged before on a motor that saw regular 3k mile oil changes.
