Hello all,
I've noticed that when I exit a highway after driving for a while with a good bit of cargo in the bed, my oil pressure gauge flutters once I come to a stop, such as at a stop sign or intersection. It returns to the normal position once I hit the gas, and get the rpms around 1500. Also, the gauge reads normal after shutting down the engine and re-starting it, even in low rpms.
Has anyone else had this issue? It happens pretty much only during the conditions mentioned above, I figure it could just be the higher oil pressure at higher (2500~3000) rpm causing something in the pressure sending unit to stick, since it goes away once the pressure has been down to 0, and I highly doubt I've got an oil pressure issue, since the valvetrain isn't making any loud tapping noises, just the quiet clicking I figure is normal for an OHV engine. (My las car was a camry, with a DOHC engine).
