oil leak questions please help

Ive got a 4.0 ranger with a pretty noticable oil leak, I think its the rear main seal or oil pan because the drip is where the tranny and motor meet. I want to make sure thats it before I replace them. Can anyone help me to determine where its coming from? I can post pictures tomorrow. The truck has a race cam in it, someone told me that might make more oil problems later down the road, can anyone help please lemme know.

Those are likely, also want to check valve covers, and oil filter adapter gasket. Had a 3.0L with 260,000 never leaked, my 4.0L leaks all the time. Good luck...
