ok so I am changing my setup from the cable setup I made to a hydraulic setup that im apteming to make work. Now with the headers I am useing the headmen 85000 I belive I cant not use a push type slave cylinder I have to use a pull type slave, the only one I can find is this guy.
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Universal-Pull-Type-Slave-Cylinder-7-8-Inch-Bore,783.html
now only with a 1" travel im pretty sure I just screwd myself buying that. anyone know what the total travel is needed to fully disengauge the clutch? as far as I can research is about 2". also anyone know of a pull type slave that can do 2"? the one above is about the only one I can find. Im really hopeing to make this a hydro set up sense I already bought all the special AN fittings to adapt to the stock ranger master and what not.. HELP NEEDED thanks!:icon_thumby::icon_confused:

i think 2" is a bit much. maybe somewhere around an inch at the working end of the fork. if you have a 2:1 fork you only need half an inch of stroke at the slave.

Im not to sure if it is a 2-1 fork. I konw the fork were the pivoit point is, is about twice as long. I just remember when it was in the full size bronco when it was a linkage set up it needed miles to disengauge, and when I put the tranny in my ranger when I made up the cable setup I had to have a loooooot of petal just so it wouldnt grind. has anyone ever used this pull slave? also by chance does anyone know if this o reilly auto parts clutch master cylinder is a 7/8 bore part #1268 the other number I had #39896 says its a 7/8 bore but there unable to get a hold of it. thanks again for you help:headbang:
