post 1 or 2 missing the image?

I see post 1 image.

working on it.

for your viewing pleasure until I get the hosting sorted out.

photobucket seems to have scrambled about half of my stuff.

I guess their free plan has some issues, I'm no where near the limit.

Nice, the sky is the limit with tools like that. It's like a lathe,,,, you can make whatever the hell you want to make lol. Was that pricey?

just over $250 with shipping.

cme-tools.com

they are in a northern suburb of Detroit Michigan.

Interesting, I'll be looking into some tooling and a cross slide for a mill/drill I bought last month for cheap, it's a Scandanavian company with a 3hp 3 phase 440 motor on top and weighs about 1500lb... no slides on the table but has T bolt slots and multiple speeds so I'll figure something out...

You have 3 phase at your home shop?

Nope, that's part of the problem... I hadn't looked at the machine before I bid on it... if the motor wasn't 440V AND 3 phase it would be easier to deal with but it still isn't the end of the world apparently... for a few hundred a VFD and a step up transformer can be had to deal with that. One step at a time, first step is to build the shop, then get the 2 post lift installed, then get things oriented then get to that and where to put it :)

I have about a dozen links about phase convertors and how to build your own. If you want I can post them. It will be a bunch of reading and sorting thru the bs to figure out what to do tho.

I'm all ears, don't wanna thread jack but I imagine any tinkerer is open to new info :). For me that's a problem for about a year from now but in the auction world you never know what you are going to come across that will fit the need and I go to auctions anyway...
