What is the actual normal operating temp of a stock 3.0???
Im gonna put an E-fan on and was wondering what temp should it kick on and off???

let your motor cool down, take off the the rad cap. start truck. when you see the water/anti start to flow turn the adjustment nob to make it come on. let it cool and try again and see if the fan turns on as the coolent start flowing. thats how iv always done it. idk if its right or not but thats the way i do it.

some time ill turn it alil just ever so slightly so it can stay at 180 or 190 what ever the them is set at befor it kicks on that way it will stay there and not have the motor try and run cooler

idk off hand id have to look it up. but as long as the fan comes on when the therm opens up its good to go. 180 190 its doesnt matter but i think its 180

so, what temp does the 3.o usually run at??
Beef
Thermostats vary by a few degrees from model year to model year, but the stock stat in my '00 is a 197* (I've replaced it with a 180*), so 197* is what my '00 runs at from the factory.

all 3.0's (in fact, most FI ford vehicles) had 195 (or 197 if you like) degree t-stats from the factory.

Thanks Wicked....Just bought my fan!!!!! paid $25 on Ebay!!!
