No trappers or hunters allowed

Deer will overpopulate and damage cars and kill drivers if not kept down. So even though they may be beautiful, deer gotta die.

Agreed. Back in '07, my mom & myself both had deer strikes with our respective vehicles. Not fun.

We live in Florida near Lithia. It is still wide open. I don't hate hunters who kill for food. It is the ones who kill for the hell of it and leave the carcass to rot or just take the horns or tusk. This is just so wrong. I have found fawns who were shot several times just for sport. This, I feel is very wrong. I feel if these POS slaughterers who kill just to kill want to kill so bad then be a real man and join the military like I did and go fight in a war.
I have been approached by many animals in the back. The boars have come right up to me. One, we call Big Bob the Black is almost to my chest height. He has never torn up anything. I have had several Raccoons follow me around the yard staying very close to me. We have had several Fox sit down next to us as we had a cup of coffee on one of the two concrete benches we have in the yard. My wife has watched them follow me and she always says 'Don't pick them up, honey, like you do the cats'. If they do get too close we shoo them away. I don't want them to loose their fear of mankind.
They come in to get corn that is growing out there and the bird food that is out there for the many species of birds we have. We get birds all the way from north of us here (Indigo Buntings in the winter time). We have Water Thrush from Louisiana, the Tufted Tit Mouse, and three varieties of Woodpeckers,we have Owls, Eagles, Osprey, and several types of Hawks as well. We have a butterfly garden that attracts many species of the butterfly and Hummingbirds and other types of insects. We do enjoy our backyard very much and this is the place we will retire.

Especially after what they did to my baby.

Darn, Bro....ouch to that. Did you feel the impact at all? Did the airbag go off?

You lucky dog!!! We have a flock of wild turkeys that live in our neighborhood, as well as a few deer.

see now me in south dakota i will shoot anything from birds to deer the ducks and geese and deer we do eat but the fox, coyotes, coons, and skunks and whatnot they are pest that eat our pheasants that are oh so tasty here id SD. What we do with the pests we skin them then through the rest in our pit and we burn our pit,

We have a herd of deer that come thru every evening and they are fun to watch, especially when the horse chases them. :D I still enjoy hunting them though, although the ones I hunt in the country are much wilder, they would amost pass for a different species. There are enough of them hit by cars and doing damage to farmers fields that if they were reduced by half not many people would complain.

I try to show foxes a gun whenever they show up, after they carry off a few chickens and try to carry off our cat they don't get shown much hospitatly.

Same for Raccoons and Opossums, they also try to take chickens and love to make a mess wherever possible, plus Opossum poo is highly poisonous to horses... and since we keep the hay inside they like to live in the hay. My cousin almost lost a horse to that.

Us hunters have our reasons... we are not all maniac killers (there are some out there though)

I don't hunt (or fish) much anymore, just don't have time. I do like animals but at the same time an excess amount of them is not good either. We used to have to thin out the cats at my buddy's house because they would get distemper and start losing eyes, limbs, etc.

I will probably get back into hunting sometime because those cute little animals sure are tasty.
