So rebuild top end. Drove fine other than stalling while in gear and stopped. Drove it probably 25 miles like that. Accidentally broke distributor so got a new one, installed it, and set the timing 10 btdc with spout unplugged. Ok so now it will run good and rev up fine with spout unplugged but has almost 0 power driving. Plus spout in and it runs like crap plus 0 power while attempting to drive. With or without spout connected truck will die when put into gear and stopped. It doesn't instantly die it will idle down then bog till it does out. I've replaced entire fuel system minus injectors. Tried different computer and different icv nothing is working and the ve never been so stumped in my life. Please help

You need to find TDC on number 1 and pull the dist and reinstall in the correct position.
OR move the plug wires forward one post and retime. Pretty obvious you have the dist in there one cog off.
Might be you wired the dist cap wrong when changing the dist. But I'm betting on one cog off.

You said you broke the distributor and replaced it.

Did you make sure the roll pin that holds the drive gear on the shaft was in there? Your symptom list sounds a lot like timing slip.

Update** got to messing around with it, pulled d/s plug wires off one at a time and made no difference in idle, even with all 3 unhooked. They are getting spark and fuel though??? When I put the new dist in I had 1 at tdc and made sure the rotor was in position to fire on one. Pulled spout and used timing light to make sure it was 10 btdc. With spout in @ idle its advancing to 20. My best guess is that it must be factory defect in the tfi, as far as not firing. As far as the drive gear, it is secure. Thanks for the feed back and ideas! Exchanging the distributor in the a.m. I will let you know how it goes
