No power to the cigarette lighter socket

I got no power to the cigarette lighter socket and the fuse is go
It’s a 2004 Ford Ranger 4.0

Just to confirm, Fuse #29, 20amp in the cab fuse box located in passenger side kick panel, powers both the Cigar Lighter and the OBD port

All fuses are good
Is there a way to test the cigarette lighter socket wire with a test light

I'm beginning to hear a strange intermittent beeping sound "beeeeep......beeeeeep. goes on for 5-6 min. then just stops. any info ????( kinda sounds like when you first open your door but continues while driving)

So Anthony... I moved your thread to electrical. You've had a couple threads going and we can better help you if you focus on one thread. Also... be complete with the symptoms you're having. Did you do recent repairs and then you started having problems? Did you sink it in a swamp? Did this problem show up out of nowhere. Lots of people are willing to help you...

Is there a way to test the cigarette lighter socket wire with a test light

Yes. Attach the ground wire of your test light to the metal outer shell of the lighter socket and touch the probe to the center contact in the socket. If there is enough voltage, the test light should light up.
