Newbie with a question

Hello, I am new to the site and I am fixing up a 1999 Mazda 2wd 5 speed. I had a question as to whether a 1999 Mazda B4000 tailgate is the same as a 1999/2000 Ford Ranger tailgate. I was hoping they were compatible. Mine has a few big dings that are too much work to repair and thought swapping would be easier.

Any help is appreciated and looking forward to being on the forum.

Since no one has answered yet I will say no.
3rd party sellers of body parts tend to include ALL applications for a new or used part.
So a part will say "fits 1999 Ranger/Mazda B-series" if it will fit

The B-series tailgates comes up but no crossover to Ranger
And Ranger tailgates come up but no crossover to B-series
This could be from the bends/lines in the sheet metal not lining up between the two bodies

Bed style does matter, step or regular are different, doesn't look like length of bed matters
Looks like 1994 to 2010 B-series tailgates should all be the same
