Oh ok. Hopefully it's 17 or better!

Did you have to cut down your front drive shaft if not what is your front drive shaft out of? If you did cut it do you remember the length

Yes I had it cut down. Used the worksheet from Denny's Driveshaft website to do the measuring and had it shortened to 28 3/8 inches. I also had to change the yoke on the front of the NP 205 to use the CV style yoke. I would recommend that you do your own measurements as the position of your engine will affect the required driveshaft length.

I still have yo get the yoke and yeah I planned on it I just wanted a ball park area, thanks allot

the teenager in me could not resist

Finally broke down and put a better size tire (33x10.50x15) on the Fireball. What a difference! Bonus points because I had a white speedo gear laying around which makes my speedometer exactly correct. Looks a lot better too.

Having a v8 you don't notice they are on there either.

Are you still working on an engine conversion?

Yes sir. Truck is down right now with electrical issue but I am finishing up my research and hopefully pull the trigger on the engine & transmission soon.

Thanks for the kind words.

3000+ miles on the engine--running sweet, 15MPG. I drive it to and from a ranch I hunt on every week, about 100 miles round trip. Would be better if it had A/C, but I don't feel like messing with it right now. It's been hauling rocks for yard projects and other than some minor RABS issues, I have no complaints.
