NEW...never thought it would be a ranger

hey all. from british columbia canada, work for a local ford dealership so i am around ford products all the time. recently bite the bullet and picked up a new 2010 fX4. so far only thing i am not liking is the fuel economy...but then again its a truck, and i am use to my little honda...i've built a couple honda cars, and figure at this stage in my life its time to get something newer and reliable. no plans to do anything to the truck for the first couple months, but i might look into some 35's and 4 inch lift.

the ranger is great soo far, i had my hearts set on a fx4 f150, but the price of the ranger was just too good for me. but i must say in the 10 days of owning it, putting on 900km its grea. the 4:10's are amazing off the line, had 2 dirtbikes in it yesterday and went a couple kms up a dirtroad and the stock rancho shocks ate everything up great. the truck cruises great on the hwy even with that type of gearing, i guess the extra gear they have in the 5 speed auto transmission helps....the civic, well thats a long story haha, and its not a tach on the hood its a mechanical fuel pressure guage so i had no choice but to run it outside the interior compartment...

Welcome to the addiction those are my favorite wheels on the FX4. Love the honda i'd like to see some more pics and specs I came from hondas or should I say Acuras to rangers as well cops don't pull over trucks.

yeah love the truck, just finished my stereo, built a custom sub box to fit behind the driver seat and house my alpine type R 10. truck pounds. The honda, well its had a lot in the past, the setup that was in that picture was a sleeved 1.8 litre gsr bottom end with a gt35r turbo, top mount, putting out 463hp. After a long period that engine packed it in, so I installed my high compression 2.0 litre setup in there, stock 84mm sleeves, je 12.5:1 pistons, b16 head, ported and polished, oversized valves, 4.9 final drive, quaife lsd. That setup put out 227whp naturally aspirated. the car ran 12.9@104mph on this setup and is currently for sale. if she sells then that is it for the honda game, and on to a mortgage and the other toys (my ktm 450sx dirtbike) and hopefully a boat if i can get rid of the car haha.
i will post more pictures of the car if anyone is interested. i will also get some pictures up of my stereo setup.

sweet ride! i love how ford just put the FX4 package as an add-on to the Sport Package for Canada...lol. That is one sexy ride though!! you will enjoy it, plus the Ranger is a VERY capable truck offroad. I'd look into some different tires though, those Goodyear RT/S tires suck! especially on wet roads as they have a close outside lug pattern that doesnt let water escape very well. BFG A/Ts look sick on Rangers btw and last soooo long
